This 90-minute guided walking tour delves into the lesser-known stories of how diseases like cholera, typhoid, diphtheria, and smallpox once ravaged the community, altering the course of life (and death) for West Chester’s residents. Learn about the surprising treatments used by local doctors and how these pandemics shaped the borough’s history.
The tour covers approximately 1.5 miles, so comfortable walking shoes are recommended. Participants are advised to arrive 15 minutes early to check in.
