Reagan’s Run: Running for a Cause in Berwyn

Berwyn, PA – On Sunday, September 15, 2024, the community will gather at Wilson Farm Park in Wayne, PA, for the 3rd Annual Reagan’s Run. This inspiring event, which includes a 5K run, a 1-mile walk, and a Kids Dash, is more than just a race—it’s a heartfelt effort to raise awareness and funds for epilepsy research.

Reagan’s Run is organized by The Rea of Hope for a Cure Foundation, named in honor of twelve-year-old Reagan Monast, who lives with epilepsy. The foundation supports those affected by epilepsy in Chester, Delaware, and Montgomery Counties. All proceeds from the event go towards funding patient-focused research through Rea of Hope and CURE Epilepsy.

A Community-Driven Event

Participants of all ages are encouraged to join this family-friendly event. The day will also feature a raffle table, snacks, and plenty of activities to ensure that everyone has a good time. Runners will be timed by the Bryn Mawr Running Company, and the event will conclude with an announcement of the 5K winners at 10:15 AM.

Those interested in participating can register online, with fees set at $30 for the 5K and 1-mile walk, $25 for the Kids Dash, and $40 for those opting for the virtual event.

Supporting a Cause

Since its inception, Reagan’s Run has raised nearly $70,000 for epilepsy research. This year, the goal is to surpass that amount, bringing hope to the 3.4 million people living with epilepsy in the United States.
