The Radnor Township Police Department (RTPD) is pleased to announce the 2025 Citizens Police Academy (CPA), a program designed to provide residents with an in-depth understanding of local law enforcement operations. This educational initiative offers participants the opportunity to engage directly with police personnel, gaining insights into the challenges and responsibilities faced by officers in 拉德诺 Township.

Program Overview:

The CPA consists of a series of nine weekly sessions, each lasting 2 to 3 hours, held on weekday evenings. The curriculum combines classroom instruction with practical field exercises, covering topics such as:

  • Patrol Division Operations
  • Firearms and Use of Force
  • Traffic Safety and DUI Enforcement
  • Criminal Investigations and the Juvenile Justice System
  • Specialized Units Demonstrations, including K-9, SWAT, and Emergency Management

Participants will also have the chance to engage in ride-alongs with patrol officers, providing firsthand experience of daily police activities.

Eligibility and Enrollment:

The program is offered at no cost to residents and business owners of Radnor Township who are 18 years of age or older. Applicants must pass a background check and receive approval from the Superintendent of Police. Upon successful completion, graduates receive a certificate and may pursue volunteer opportunities with the RTPD and the Radnor Citizens Police Organization.
